Dan Field

dan_field
Dan Field, along with his partners Steve Rotramel and David McGill, started videotaping hunts with youth from their area and using their time afield as an outreach ministry to encourage a closer relationship with God and family. After sharing such stories as “Dad, We Forgot to Pray” and other poignant video clips, they would notice other hunter dads start to nod or hang their heads as they too had let things get too far out of perspective. They produced Outdoor Journey, which is a warm account of how God used a passion for hunting to encourage other hunter dads and men in the Church to look for these opportunities to minister and disciple in their areas.

Author Dr. Jeff Voth is the founder and president of Cavetime, an organization dedicated to kindling a fire in the hearts of men, a fire to become real men…literal walls of security and protection for their people. He believes that men can only do this by understanding their God-given roles and getting some stones…the 5 Stones of Cavetime. (Check out his website at www.cavetime.org ). These Stones are, to Show Up, to Worship, to Pray, to Interact with God’s Word, and to find a Community of people who help them to live well. Jeff gleaned the Stones from the life of King David and his Mighty Men. In his book Cavetime: God’s Plan, For Man’s Escape, From Life’s Assaults he applies them to his own life and the lives of the men whom he has known and observed over the course of his life. He also travels the country and instructs men in how to use the Stones, through Cavetime events. These events include powerful worship, speaking, provocative videos, and personal testimony and teaching. Jeff earned a doctorate in the areas of leadership and spiritual formation and holds masters degrees in apologetics and divinity. He is a professor, pastor, and author/speaker. He is married to Lori and has four grown children, a son-in-law and a granddaughter.
